Designing our future regional events

In December 2019, Future-Focused Finance, the HFMA and PwC worked together to outline a vision for the future NHS finance function and released the NHS finance: designing our future report. The vision described in the report was as follows:

“Our vision is that working in NHS finance is something that people aspire to. It will be consistently rated as one of the best and most diverse employers in the country; developing its own staff and attracting the best from elsewhere. The profession will be recognised as a key ingredient to delivering world class healthcare, innovating to drive value and enabling the best outcomes for patients.”

Over the next 6 months, we want to gather the views, insight and passion of all 16,000+ finance staff to help us co-create a new vision, plan and way of working for the NHS Finance Community. As part of this, we are running a number of regional events and an online forum to ensure every member of the NHS finance community has an opportunity to participate in the national conversation.

By using online technology and expert qualitative analytics, all feedback received will be turned into a practical plan of action for the NHS Finance Community which will be launched in September.
