Free consultancy to help NHS finance teams find new efficiency savings in 2018

As part of our drive to help NHS partners identify new back office savings in 2018, NHS SBS has just launched a New Year Healthcheck initiative to provide free advice and guidance across some of our areas of expertise.

Subject matter experts are carrying out one-to-one consultations on issues such as NHS VAT and procurement, which allow those working in NHS finance teams (and other business functions) to hear how their current processes and systems compare to good practice examples from across the NHS.

The free consultancy has been designed with a no pressure and no obligation approach, which we hope will result in useful hints and tips to help NHS trusts think about steps they can take to achieve national efficiency targets and begin to move up performance league tables in 2018.

The half-hour informal sessions are all free-of-charge to NHS organisations and cover a range of back office topics, including:

  • VAT Quality Assurance healthcheck – with an NHS VAT expert covering the latest HMRC guidance on tax.
  • Financial Insights healthcheck – with an NHS finance professional to begin to explore how current finance practice improvements can have a positive impact in relation to industry standards.
  • NHS procurement healthcheck – with an NHS procurement expert who can review any specific challenges and offer a highlight report with recommendations.

Please do take advantage by arranging a consultation here. You can find out more at www.sbs.nhs.uk/transforming-healthcheck and book sessions until the end of next month.
