Journey to Level 3 Accreditation

Hi everyone, just thought i'd introduce myself and tell you a little bit about what we are doing at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to embed the behavioural skills framework and work on the great place to work framework.

So, I am Ellie I work as a Divisional Finance Manager for Womens & Children's and i'm also the finance departments lead on training & development.  We have approximately 50 staff within finance.  We got involved with FFF in 2017 when Ken Godber came to visit to talk to us about the benefits of being part of this network has.  Since then we have worked really hard in improving communication and behaviours within the department as well as improving the visibility and finance offering to the wider trust and beyond.

We became level 1 accredited January 2019 and level 2 accredited July 2019 - we are setting our sights for Level 3 accreditation for 2021.

I am talking about about the things we have done to improve here at SFH, at the joint SDN/HFMA/FFF conference on the 15th November, once that is done I will write another blog and share the details - I don't want to ruin the surprise as I do want people to come to my workshop!
