We are hosting an online workshop Wednesday 30 September from 10:00 - 11:00 to explore the new ways in which we are now working as teams and organisations, both during and after the pandemic.
Flexible working has always been encouraged within NHS Finance, however now that many teams have been thrown into this without much planning or choice a whole range of new issues and challenges are cropping up. Although, as we are seeing processes being moved online and some made more efficient, there are also many obvious benefits to this new way of working.
In the workshop we will cover:
• Tools, advice and techniques for hybrid working (part office, part home working)
• Exploring trends and themes of working in a hybrid way
• Productivity and motivation, plus digital protocols, and other challenges - which will link to online tools and ideas
• Themes, gaps, and sharing of learning through discussion
• An opportunity for Q&A
The workshop will be facilitated by Christine Armstrong, who is an expert on the future of work and spends her time researching what is and isn’t working in our professional lives. Christine’s book The Mother Of All Jobs: How to have children and a career and stay sane(ish), published in September 2018 by Bloomsbury, drew acclaim and publicity for the practicalities of combining motherhood and the world of work and was a finalist for Business Book of the Year 2019. She has spoken at conferences including: Management Today, The Economist, The Telegraph, Dress for Success, industry bodies, Cheltenham Literature Festival and dozens of business events at law firms, advertising agencies and sectoral conferences.
The workshop will be held on Zoom.
